What You Need to Know?

Under section 9(1) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, it is compulsory for real estate agents to register under RERA to be able to sell residential or commercial properties.
As an unregistered agent, you won’t be able to participate and earn through real estate-related transactions. Not registering as an agent will cost you in penalties and other legal issues.

    Yes. Under section 9(1) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, it is compulsory for real estate brokers or agents irrespective of being an individual or a company need to register before marketing properties.

    No. You can only market properties in the registered state. If you want to promote properties in other states, real estate agents are required to register separately in each of the state you wish to do business in.

    RERA registration for real estate agents is valid for a period of 5 years. To continue running your real estate agency, it is necessary to renew your registration. Agents need to apply for renewal 60 days before the expiry date.
